Menstrual Pain and Bleeding Resolved After Herbs

MM is a 45-year-old housewife. She came to seek our help on 25 January 2013 regarding her recurrent menstrual pain and bleeding. In fact a week earlier she had been hospitalized for this problem.  Listen to her story.

  1. Since 14 years old, MM suffered menstrual pain with blood clot. In our Oriental culture, problem like this is not something that family members would talk about! Furthermore, pain during menses is considered part of being a woman! So the problem that MM had was just left as it was.
  2. In the early 1990s she was told that she had ovarian cyst. She did nothing about it.
  3. In July 1992, she underwent a laparoscopic surgery to remove two ovarian cysts, each 10 cm in size.
  4. In 2006, MM suffered heavy bleeding and underwent another surgery. This time a 7 cm fibroid was removed. According to the doctor, her ovaries were clean.
  5. During the period between 2006 and 2010, MM started on Ayurvedic treatment for her recurrent bleeding problem. At first she received treatment in Kuala Lumpur (costing RM 300 per day). Later she went to Kerala, India for the treatment. According to MM, the treatment in Kerala was cheaper – RM 3,000 for a six-week treatment (inclusive of flight cost).
  6. In 2010, the pains and bleeding became more severe and she went to a university hospital in KL and underwent uterine arterial embolization (UAE). The procedure failed. She suffered severe pain and has to be knocked off by morphine. According to MM, My advice to anyone, never go for AEU! MM had a very high tolerance for pain and had never cried but UAE made her cry in pain!
  7. MM tried acupuncture. This helped. Her problem came on and off. Her periods became regular.
  8. In early January 2013, MM suffered severe bleeding and she was hospitalized.

CT scan done on 18 January 2013 indicated a large uterus. There is a large posterior wall uterine myoma measuring 6.6 x 8.4 x 8.9 cm with central hypodensity likely to represent necrosis. It causes anterior displacement of endometrial and bladder depression.

Bilateral ovarian cysts. Right ovarian cyst measures 3.2 x 3.7 cm and left ovarian cyst measures 2.8 x 5.2 cm. There is an suggestion of left hydrosalphinx.

The doctor suggested that MM undergo a total hysterectomy. It was at this point that MM drove to Penang and sought our help. MM said she suffered pain before and during her periods and this was usually followed by severe bloating of the stomach. Having understood her problem, my reaction on that day was, We shall try our best.

MM was prescribed PMS Pill, GY-5 and GY 6 teas. In addition, she was asked to take A-Lung-2 and A-Kid-6 tea to balance her meridian disharmony (See another story Nocturia – frequent night time urination resolved by herbal therapy).

Problem Resolved After the Herbal Therapy

Two months later, 24 March 2013, a happy MM came to our centre again. Her long standing problems had been resolved. Listen to what she said.

Chris:  You took the herbs for two months. What happened?

MM:  No more pain and no more bloatedness. My periods were normal – 5 days. No blood clot.

C:  Before taking the herbs?

M:  A week before I came to see you, I had to be hospitalized due to severe bleeding and pain. That was why I did the CT scan.

C:  You mean when you went home and started to take the herbs, all your pain and bleeding were gone?

M: Yes.

C: I really don’t know what to say to you! You will have to continue taking the herbs for a while more.

Did the herbs really help you?

M: Yes.

C:  And you are happy now?

M:   Yes.

C:  Not too bad. You have improved!

Nocturia – frequent night time urination resolved by herbal therapy

MM is a 45-year-old housewife. She came to us for problems of backache and severe pain during her periods (her story in another article). As with all patients we read her meridian energy using the AcuGraph (below).  Only 3 of the 12 meridians were normal (green), 5 meridians were split and 4 meridians were low.

Acu-1-21Jan13 copy

From our experience, those with low or split bladder meridian (BL is blue, arrow) may have problems of frequent urination at night.  (See our previous article: http://ejtcm.com/2011/03/25/low-or-split-bladder-meridian-may-result-in-frequent-urination/). In addition, she also had low KI (kidney) and SP (Spleen) meridian energy.  The significance of this is explained below.

We asked MM if nocturia was also her problem. Her answer was YES – urination 3 to 4 times each night. It is indeed a nuisance having to waking up so often, besides depriving her of a good sound sleep. We suggested that MM take the herbal tea, A-Kid-6, for 2 weeks to try and resolve her problem.

We got to met MM again 2 months later and she told us her nocturia was resolved after taking the herbal tea. Listen to what she said below:

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM ) View of Bladder Function

TCM views the kidney and bladder as an interrelated pair that controls water in the body.  The function of the bladder – i.e. storage and discharge of the urine, depends upon Kidney Qi. If Kidney Qi is sufficient the bladder will function normally and urination is well controlled.

If Kidney Qi is deficient the bladder becomes dysfunctional. Disharmony of the Bladder meridian can lead to problems such as difficult urination, incontinence (inability to control proper urination), painful eyes, runny nose, nose bleeding, nasal congestion, pain in the head, neck, back, groin and buttock.

According to Steven Clavey (in Fluid physiology and pathology in TCM) nocturia is due to exhausted kidney yang or spleen and kidney yang deficiency. However, in cases where the symptoms are less severe, nocturia can be due to Bladder qi deficiency.

Lung Cancer: e-Therapy Helps in Her Pains

SC (H222) was 68 years old when she was diagnosed with lung cancer.  She underwent an open-and-close surgery. The cancer had spread to the back of the chest wall and was considered a Stage 4 lung cancer.

She was asked to undergo chemotherapy but refused. She was told that she had six months to live. SC took our herbs and she is still doing alright up to this day – after three and a half years. Unfortunately, she suffered pains.  The following are our e-mail exchanges with her daughter.

13 December 2011

Hi Im, Prof Chris,

I am at my wits end trying to see how else to ease Mom’s pain.   We are trying acupuncture currently, three sessions so far but she said the pain is still as bad.   Last week she had a very bad palpitation which lasted for almost 7 hours.   And it happened again today though not as long as the previous time.   The pain must have been really bad as she is talking about dying.

7 February 2012

Prof Chris,

Apart from the pain and lack of strength, Mum looks okay and can eat moderately. Should I bring Mum up to see you again?

Reply:  Do you think you can persuade mom to try the machine again. If you can come and stay for a few days we can use the machine for pain. See this website www.PainAndWellness.org . This website concentrates on pain cases. We seem to be having good results but I don’t know why mom is reluctant to use it. There must be a reason for this fear? I really don’t have any other way to help with her pain besides the Pain Tea. If she agrees, why not give a try again. But it all depends if she agrees to use it or not.

Thanks Prof Chris,

I talked to Mom again about coming up to Penang to do the e-therapy again.  She did not resist the idea.  When would it be convenient to you for us to come up to see you?

SC came to Penang to receive six days of e-therapy (from 13 to 18 February 2012). She benefited from the treatment! Her improvements could be seen in her face! We are glad that she took the challenge to come to Penang and try the e-Therapy.

Permission to use this video without having to mask her face is granted by her daughter.

Lymphoma: Herbs and e-Therapy Brought Her Back to Good Life Again After Eight Cycles of Chemo

Anne (M965, not real name), from Indonesia, was 52-years old when she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She underwent 8 cycles of chemotherapy in a hospital in Jakarta. Anne suffered severe side effects, such as:

  1. Heart palpitation
  2. Loss of ability to produce sweat
  3. Weak leg – feeling unstable when walking
  4. Fatigue
  5. Shortness of breath
  6. Hardened abdominal muscle
  7. Ringing in the ear

All treatments were completed in August 2010. A repeat CT scan on 20 November showed no more ascites, but the lymphoma had not totally disappeared. Soon afterwards, Anne suffered swelling of the left side of her face around the jaw. A biopsy was performed. The report on 6 January 2011 indicated recurrence of the non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

CA Care Therapy

Anne came to see us for the first time on 29 April 2011. After about two months on the herbs, Anne and her husband came back to see us again of 1 July 2011. She benefited from the herbs. During this second visit, Anne underwent a week of e-Therapy in addition to taking the herbs. Her health improved further.

Gist of her story:

  • Felt much better after two months on the herbs. More energy, walk with more stability, better appetite, slept better – could turn sideways, right or left. Able to bend my knees – before to do so was painful.
  • Heart palpitation still persists. Had eight cycles of chemo. Before chemo no such problem.
  • Felt recurrence of lumps in my body and the lump on my cheek seemed to grow bigger. I also have fevers at times.
  • Doctor asked to undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I declined.
  • Came to CA Care Penang for the second time after two months.

Gist of her response to the e-Therapy:

  • The first session of the Therapy done on Friday night. After the Therapy stomach churned for a while, until she fell asleep. Problem gone the next morning. Passed out a lot of urine. Beside these there were no other side effects. Able to sleep better than before. Woke up with more energy. Was able to go to the shopping mall the whole of Saturday. Lump on the cheek felt less tight.
  • The second session of the Therapy done on Sunday night. Woke up the next morning – I felt more fresh. Over all felt much better. On a scale of 10, condition improved to 8. Before the Therapy it was at 3 or 4.
  • The third session of the Therapy was done on Monday morning. The fullness feeling of the abdomen was gone. This feeling arose after chemotherapy. No such problem before chemo. Pain in both sides of temple improved by 50 percent. Slept soundly, unable to sleep well before this . Bowel movements better. No more pain when sweating.  Breathing improved. Tense or hardened stomach muscle eased and able to pinch the stomach now.

AcuGraph Study

The AcuGraph reading during the first visit, on 29 April 2011 is a below. The picture showed many imbalances.

On 8 July 2011, the AcuGraph reading showed tremendous improvements. This was after undergoing a week of the e-Therapy. Anne was ready to go home after this.

Kidney Pain Gone After e-Therapy and Herbs

TS (H570) is a 53-year-old male from Singapore. He had been having severe pain in the back since the past three years. But he did not seek any medical treatment.

TS came to seek our help on 1 April 2011. Upon reviewing his CT scan, we suggested removal of his left kidney. But before taking on the surgery we suggested that TS do a PET scan first. This is to rule out any metastasis, i.e., “cancer” spreading to other parts of the body. If there was metastasis, then a cure from surgery becomes a remote possibility.

During this first visit, TS presented with the following:

  1. Back pain.
  2. Insomnia. He only slept 3 to 4 hours each night and woke up every few hours.
  3. Abdominal wind.
  4. Burning sensation when urinating.
  5. One side of his nose was blocked.

We prescribed Capsule A, deTox + WF tea and Kidney tea.   TS came back five days later. He showed some improvements.  His stomach felt good – there was no more wind. After taking herbs for two days there was no more burning sensation when urinating. Also his nose block was gone.

TS decided to reject our earlier suggestion of a surgery. He would not go for a PET scan either. As far as he was concerned, at this point of time, he only wanted to try our herbal therapy.

On 4 May 2011, TS came back to see us for the third time. His health was normal and he could sleep well and uninterrupted for 5 to 6 hours each night.  Below is the video recording of our conversation that morning.

Gist of Our Conversation

  1. TS has been having this intense pain in his back for the past many years. The pain came on and off. After an attack, the pain could linger on for a few days.
  2. TS consulted the doctor but he was told nothing was wrong with him. It was only after a CT scan was done that a mass was found in his left kidney.
  3. TS underwent a brief e-Therapy (Detox 1, 17 minutes) while at CA Care in Penang. He felt better.
  4. When he went home to Singaore, he did Detox 2 which was for 34 minutes. The pain was gone.
  5. For the past three weeks, he did not suffer any more pain.
  6. A friend’s sister has high blood pressure. TS put her on the Hypertension #68. She felt better after four days.
  7. TS’s maid hurt her finger when closing the door. The pain was intense. TS put her on the Detox. The next morning, there was no more pain.

Update

Ultrasound on 1 September 2011 indicated that the left kidney mass decreased in size from 4.0 x 3.1 x 2.9 (as on 28 June 2011) to 3.3 x 3.0 x 2.9. The right kidney mass – from 1.1 x 1.7 x 1.2 to 5 mm (?)

Cough and Heart Palpitation Resolved after Herbs and e-Therapy

Pat (not real name) is a 55-year old female. She came to us on 1 August 2011 complaining of coughs, discomfort and uneasiness inside her. This is not a cancer case.

Medical history

About two years ago Pat suffered from heart palpitation and coughs. She consulted a heart specialist.  After extensive examination, the doctor could not find anything wrong with her. Pat went to the Penang Botanical Gardens for exercises. The problem resolved after a few months. In May 2011 (about three months ago) Pat had “winds” in her stomach and felt rather bloated. She consulted a gastroenterologist. Again after an extensive examination, the doctor could not find anything wrong with her. She was prescribed a medication. After taking this drug Pat suffered palpitation and coughs again – just like she had some two years ago. Since modern medicine could not help her, Pat turned to a Chinese sinseh (TCM). She took 18 doses of herbs prescribed by the TCM sinseh. These were not effective. It was then that she came to CA Care for help.

Therapy at CA Care

Pat was prescribed Cough No: 5 for her cough with white phlegm. The cough went away after a few days. She underwent detoxification with the e-Therapy. She took herbal tea to normalize her disharmonised liver meridian. Within a week there was no more heart palpitation. Let her tell you her story.

AcuGraph Study

1. On 1 August 2011, her AcuGraph reading showed all the twelve meridians were not balanced. Pat took Cough No: 5 for her cough with white phlegm and at the same time underwent the e-Therapy with Detox program #3.

2. AcuGraph reading on 12 August 2011, after taking A-Liver-2 herbal tea for a week.

Pancreatic Cancer: Severe Itch Disappeared and Health Improved After Herbs and the e-Therapy

Bak (M952) is a 56-year-old male from Indonesia. Sometime in November 2010, he complained of itchiness but he did nothing about it. On 8 April 2011, he came to Penang for further checkup and was told that he had cancer of the pancreas.

Bak was asked to undergo an operation for his pancreatic cancer. He declined, but he opted for ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). This is a specialized technique to clear off the bile duct obstruction. Three plastic stents (tube) were installed to help with the flow of the bile.

After this procedure, Bak was asked to undergo chemotherapy. He refused. Instead, on 10 April 2011, he came to seek our help. He presented with the following:

  • Severe itch throughout the whole body
  • No appetite
  • Fevers, unable to sleep
  • Diarrhoea
  • Yellow urine

We had no choice but to put Bak on the e-Therapy hoping to help him with the itchiness. After one session of the e-Therapy, the itchiness was reduced. After two sessions, his itch was reduced by 50 percent. After four sessions of the e-Therapy his itch was totally gone. Then he went home to Aceh.

On 5 October 2011, Bak showed up at our centre again. This time he came specifically for the e-Therapy. Bak said that since taking the herbs in April 2011, his health had improved. He felt more comfortable, his sleep was better and he felt more energetic. He started to itch again but this was not as serious as before the e-Therapy. Before the e-Therapy the whole body was itchy and he had to scratch until the skin bled. Now the itch was confined to his elbows and feet only.

Bak underwent the e-Therapy again from 5 October to 11 October 2011. After two sessions, the itch reduced by about 50 percent. By 10 October 2011, six days on the e-Therapy, the itch was almost totally gone. What remained were the itches on his finger tips.
